Weapon snatching attempt foiled by police guarding in J&K Bank Pampore

PAMPORE, April 25: A weapon snatching attempt was foiled by police at a bank branch in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday afternoon.
A police officer told Sachnews that two unknown persons wearing a feran attempted to assault a J&K Armed police cop with an Axe.
The cop were at guard duty at a branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Drangbal area of Pampore town .
He told Sachnews that the attempt to assault the police man was not successful.
” The unsuccessful assault was aimed to snatch a weapon from a cop depoloyed for guard duty at the bank branch,” he said.
He said before police can get hold on the attackers they managed to flee from the spot. A team of police headed by DSP Ops and SHO Pampore reached the spot and started investigations into the incident.
Police said that they were accessing CCTV footage from the bank authorities to identify the attackers. A case has been registered in this incident and investigations have been started.
