United XI Tral script thrilling win in Self riders cricket tournament


TRAL : One of the big tournaments titled as Self riders tournament, at Bajwani cricket ground, concluded today amidst exhilarating cricket and enthusiastic crowds in Tral sub division of South Kashmir.

Around 32 teams participated in the said mega cricket tournament, which continued for one year.

The final match of the tournament was played between United XI Tral and Engineers Eleven in which United XI Tral done a marvellous job and won the final match by 4 wickets.

Mudasir Ahmad of United XI team played a good knock of 60 runs, and was declared as man of the match, while as captain of Engineers team Showkat Ahmad Reshi was declared man of the series on that occasion.

Both the teams played spectacular cricket and showed true sportsman spirit throughout the tournament.

ADC Tral Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Malik and Principal BHSST M. Amin Bhat, were the chief guests, who gave away the prizes in the closing ceremony of the tournament.

Trophies and medals were presented to both the teams. Apart from this, sports uniforms were given to the players of winning team for their commendable job.

The tournament has been enthusiastically embraced by the people and has thrown up a lot of existing talent.
