Sopore: The residents of Tarzoo,Haritar,Amabarpora and Hygam and its adjoining areas in north Kashmir’s sopore town are up in arms against the roads and buildings department for ignoring the local road, which resulted them to live a life of miseries.
People alleged the district administration of improper approach towards the area which according to them have resulted in non-development of the area.
Due to bad condition of road and lack of proper drainage system, the commuters are facing problems.
Aggressive villagers told Times of Kashmir that due to pathetic condition of the road students, employees and also patients face immense hardships to reach their respective destinations. They added that (authorities) have failed us on every front,because of this step-motherly approach, that we are yet to see any development in our village locals added.
“Sarpanch of Village told Times of Kashmir that we have approached to MLA several times but he couldn’t do nothing for us.”
The only inner link road which was dropped in the previous year macdamisation quota and are in a dilapidated condition said group of protesting students.
Local residents of Tarzoo village while talking with Times of Kashmir said that R&B department hardly bothers about this road,which are in shabby condition.
Meanwhile the locals have appealed the concerned authorities to look into the issues for an immediate redressal.
Meanwhile officials in R&B department of Sopore Division told Times of Kashmir that this inner link comes under CRF (Centre Roads Fund) and till the time road widening is not completed we can’t go for macdamisation, he however added that almost road widening is completed and soon road will be macadamised. He further recently we macdimize two kilometres of road that was our project. We didn’t receive any respond from MLA and state government we can’t go beyond. He said
People As we as students appealed Governor to look into the matter.
