Protest aganist Army, thrashing of youth in Rafiabad

Sopore: Protest erupted in Laser village of Rafiabad aganist Army of 32 RR Rafiabad after army soldiers thrashed two youth allegedly for not casting thier votes.

Reports said that large number of people of Laser village took to the streets this afternoon and staged a protest against the army for thrashing two boys, Bilal Ahmad Rather and Tariq Ahmad Rather. Both were shifted to a hospital for further treatment.

Locals said that army soldiers stopped their vehicle and checked their fingers and questioned them why they didn’t not votes in elections. They started beating them them resulting in injuries to them.
This triggered protests and locals people blocked the Baramulla Kupwara road. Meanwhile, a police team reached the spot but the protest was going on.

While contacting of Army officer he said all allegation are baseless.

Meanwhile when we contact SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal told KNO  that Soldiers stopped their car but two youths respond him in aggressive face and they started to beat them. Hr further said we are starts further investigation.
