Pattan areas are under dark, officials says soon will restore electricity

Pattan:Unscheduled power cuts in saveral rural villages of pattan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are continues stay in tune from years as with the onset of winters.
With winter season at its peak the local inhabitants of Sultanporapora, Magraypora pora,Gohal tengpora , Sherbugh and Markipora could be seen complaining that major power cuts become a norm here in these villages.
The said villages are witnessed of long electricity cuts, “the power supply went out at around 9 AM and were restored around 7 or 8 PM in many days of the past weeks”.
We faced lot of problems and are reeling under darkness and have been getting in erratic power supply from the past weeks they allegedly said.
We have been facing immense hardships due to unscheduled power cuts in the area from past weeks as our exams are going on said a student of Aaqib Hussain.
Every year our whole nights were spend in darkness in winters as of now due to ongoing of exams we suffer the same again he added.
Lack of frequent power supply makes our life hard in winters and keep students away from their books said a local resident Farooq Ahmad.
The residents also complaining of low voltage and fluctuation in power supply that affecting residents badly. We are asking authorities to readdress the problems as earliest as possible said another resident Abdul Majeed.
And recently we are witnessed the ultimate snowfall, aftermath of snowfall the electricity was affected across the valley but still in our area the electricity not restored said a resident Fayaz ahmad wani.
However an official of the area said that we are on our work,to reappear damaged poles and wires he said.
Soon the electricity will be restored in the said villages and it would take time till evening to restore the electricity in whole area he added.
An official added that The shutdown of electricity in the area in past was on the basis of some maintenance of work which was going on in the areas.
