Milad arrangements finalized in Baramulla
Baramulla 10, November: – Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash today convened a meeting here to finalize the arrangements put in place for the smooth celebrations of for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) in the District.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba, CMO, Dy Director Fire & Emergency ,Engineers of line departments, Auqaf Committee Members, and various other concerned officers attended the meeting.
On the occasion, various members of Auqaf Committees appraised the DC about various demands including uninterrupted power supply during these days. They also demanded gen sets to be provided for some shrines wherein the DC assured of fulfilling their demands.
Meanwhile the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply to the devotees who are expected to throng the Dargah Alliya (old town) Khankah Maulla Sopore and Takia Tapper shrines during the holy days. He directed EOs of Municipal Committes of Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan to ensure cleanliness in and around the shrines in their respective areas of jurisdiction and install lights wherever necessary. He also directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of essential commodities including, rice, Atta, sugar, LPG and K-Oil etc. DC directed the Health Department to ensure availability of Medicare and first aid facility at the venues.
Later, ADC Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Baba visited Dargha Aliya of Baramulla town and reviews the stock of arrangements. ADC was accompanied by various officers from different departments, besides Auqaf committee Members.
During the visit the PDD and PHE departments have been asked to provide un-interrupted Power, water supply to the people particularly on this occasion. He also directed Executive officer of Municipal Committee to depute manpower in advance to Dargha where the prayers will be organized.
