TRAL: An intra-district Naat competition was held at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Tral on Wednesday, in which the students from various schools, colleges and Higher secondary schools of the district Pulwama participated.
On that occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina, was the chief Guest, while was senior citizen of Tral, Abdul Ahad was guest of honour.
In the said competition, around fifty students including boys and girls have recited Naat pak, which was judged by the three jury members.
Later, different prizes were given to the students including Tehzeeba Jan of Awantipora, Basharat Ahmad of Batagund, Shabina Jan of Machama, Humaira Jan of Tral, & Snowber Showkat of Batagund, who bagged first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
In his speech, ADC Tral Shabir Ahmad has said that, such competitions help students to acquire islamic knowledge. He also congratulated the school management for organising such event.
Meanwhile, Principal of the institute Mohd Amin Bhat, has said that, such programmes will develop moral values among the students and will help them in gaining religious information.
He said that, they will organise more such programmes in future for the welfare and exposure of students.
