Srinagar, April 29 (KNO) : Members of Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) Monday held a silent protest at Srinagar’s press enclave here, demanding whereabouts of their beloved who are disappeared from past many years.
The relatives of disappeared persons were demanding that their kith and kin be traced who have gone missing since 1989 in Kashmir. “We ask government to provide us information about our beloved ones, who have vanished, presumed dead or imprisoned without trial or record,” they said as per KNO correspondent.
According to KNO correspondent, the family members of the disappeared persons alleged that their kin have been subjected to enforced disappearances by the forces.
“We demand an impartial probe into the enforced disappearances and custodial killings,” they said.(KNO)
New school timings from May 1
Srinagar, April 29 (KNO) : Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Monday ordered a change in school timings for Kashmir province from May 1, 2019.
According to an order issued here, a copy of which lies with KNO, the new timings for the government and the recognized private schools falling in the areas of Srinagar Municipal limits will be from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, while as the timings for schools falling outside the Srinagar municipal limits will be from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.(KNO)
