Baramulla : Education department has defered Kashmiri and Urdu papers for ongoing 6th Class Exams following some printing error in the papers. The error and the events thereafter have brought embarsment to the authorities in the district. Sources told Kashmir Clarion that students were shocked to find Urdu questions in Kashmir question paper in class 6th triggering confusion among the students all over the district. The authorities of Education department and the DIET Sopore which has set the papers first issued circular in a rush asking students to attempt only questions written in Kashmiri and ignore the Urdu questions written on the same paper. However , later the Chief Education Officer Baramulla directed all the superintendents to cancel both Urdu and Kashmiri paper for 6th Class and deposit the question papers back to DIET.
CEO Baramulla Abdul Ahad Ganie confirmed to Kashmir Clarion about the confusion and said the papers have been recalled and exams for 6th class scheduled for today have been defered. Mr. Ganie however clarified that the DIET Sopore had sent separate question papers for Kashmiri and Urdu to SIE for printing, however both have possibly mingled during the printing process.
